Victory-4-our-daughters Part 9 "She is listening"

All her life, I told her to pray pray pray, proclaim proclaim proclaim, trust trust trust in God, to God. Never to hang w/ the wrong people, be aware of your surroundings, drugs destroy families....blah blah blah..........I'm amazed how time goes by... and somethings just get old, and you feel like a tape recording playing over and over. Thats how my mama was w/ me and my sisters.,until she was blue in the face..time went by and I got older. I am so grateful that she did tell me right from wrong. I know better and what she taught me. Not only w/ words..but she lead by example.......thanks mom........

I was having a one on one w/ my daughter in the living room. Her on the rocking chair...staring at the ceiling.. and me on the couch asking questions.. in the middle of the conversation I asked, "what would you do if someone offered you to smoke?" WHAT was that for? She literally told me off (in a respectful way...)"MOM how dare you ask me that? I know what you taught me! I know right from wrong! I would never drink!smoke! do things that I know are wrong!! Not only was she proclaiming w/out knowing...lol.. but She highly offended...she knows the Word of God.. and knows what she was taught.. and now I can lead by example..

WOW God moment............. Then today, someone tells me that they had a dream/vision about my daughter.. and said..it showed her how much my daughter feared the Lord.. It had tears rolling down my face.. But im so glad.. AND I BELIEVED IT..I RECEIVED IT..AND PROCLAIM IT! Just when we think they arent listening... THEY ARE!!! sigh of relief!!!!! just another reassurance that God is in Control.

Parents!!! continue to pray for the kids.....your children, nieces,nephews....family... the youth of your city, church, their friends! because there is NOTHING IMPOSSIBLE FOR GOD! and there is POWER in a prayer mom!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

praise HIM!

victory-4-our-daughters-Part 8 (Suicide)

Within a week, I heard young girls say that they wnat tried to commit suicide or either have friends who want to. All at the same school.. 4 of them to be exact. My heart is saddened. This hits home because I have a teenage daughter... I really want to know the signs of this. Here's is what I found:

•pulling away from friends or family and losing desire to go out
•trouble concentrating or thinking clearly
•changes in eating or sleeping habits
•major changes in appearance (for example, if a normally neat person looks very sloppy - as if they're not taking the usual care of themselves )
•talk about feeling hopeless or feeling guilty
•talk about suicide
•talk about death
•talk about "going away"
•self-destructive behavior (drinking alcohol, taking drugs, or driving too fast, for example)
•no desire to take part in favorite things or activities
•the giving away of favorite possessions (like offering to give away a favorite piece of jewelry, for example)
•suddenly very happy and cheerful moods after being depressed or sad for a long time (this may mean that a person has decided to attempt suicide and feels relieved to have found a "solution")

Spiritually speaking

Suicide is not a new idea. The Bible records seven suicides.

AbimelechJudges 9:52-54 Abimelech lacked personal identity.
SamsonJudges 16:25-30 Samson died for a cause he believed in and for revenge.
Saul1 Samuel 31:4 Saul was stressed out, unable to live up to certain expectations; felt rejected and a failure
Saul's armor-bearer1 Samuel 31:5 Impulse, he wanted to die with his boss. 40% of teenage suicide is impulse.
Ahithophel2 Samuel 17:23 Ahithophel was bitter because his advice was not followed.
Zimri1 Kings 16:15-20 Rebellion; Zimri had a problem with authority.
JudasMatthew 27:3-5 Depressed, Judas felt trapped by materialism and guilt.

1.God has a great plan for your life. God has created us in His image (Genesis 1:26-27). He created us for a purpose. God has a specific plan in mind for everyone.

For I know the plans I have for you, declares the LORD, plans to prosper you and not to harm you, plans to give you hope and a future (Jeremiah 29:11).
2.God's plan is for life, not death. The Bible teaches that both physical and spiritual death are the result of our sin and disobedience to God, but eternal life is a gift to those who receive it.

For the wages of sin is death, but the gift of God is eternal life in Christ Jesus our Lord (Romans 6:23).
3.Jesus taught that death and destruction are the work of “the thief” (Satan). He said,

The thief comes only to steal and destroy (John 10:10).
John 8:44 says that Satan is a “murderer” and the “father of lies.” The feelings of despair that lead to suicide are caused by some of his lies.

4.Jesus wants us to have life. He said:

The thief comes only to steal and kill and destroy; I have come that they may have life, and have it to the full (John 10:10).
5.Life belongs to God. It is never our place to take our own life or someone else's life.

Do you not know that your body is a temple of the Holy Spirit, who is in you, whom you have received from God? You are not your own, you were bought at a price. Therefore honor God with your body (1 Corinthians 6:19-20).

Lord.. Please hear a mothers plea for daughters all over the world who have issues w/ suicide..May You show them Your Glory today! In Jesus name..

there is so much more I have to say... but that demon has to flee in Jesus name!!!

TO BE CONTINUED!!!

Victory-4-Our daughters Part 7

Happy New Year!
Yesterday my 14 yr old, 5ft 4' daughter came in my room, laid in bed..and wrapped her long leg around me, her arms, closed her eyes and said.. "Your so warm mom"... I wanted to cry..I figured that she has grown out of this stage..of hanging and hugging on me. She actually fell asleep for about an hour. To me, this is such a thrill, a blessing, heart-warming, heart-smiling event...( I actually wanted to take a pic lol). (I know she loves me, she is just growing out of showing it). As I tried to peel her off me.. she just wouldnt let go. and told me how warm and cuddly I was.. by then, I realized that I havent done this w/ My Jesus, My Savior. When was the last time I held on to HIM, and didnt want to let go? Have I told HIM how warm and cuddly He was when Im w/ Him? Have I caused Him to feel heart-warming, heart-smiling? Wow.. I had to examine myself.. 2 lessons learned... 1.treasure EVERY Moment w/ our children...AND 2. put a smile on HIS heart..... Amazing

Lord You are Awesome!! I raise my hands.. and lift my voice to You alone. I love to hug YOU,close my eyes, and never let go.!!
AMEN..

Victory-4-Our daughters Part 6

Reminding myself that prayer does work!
There is such a freedom in Prayer...

A Prayer warrior can NOT be stopped!!...

Keep praying. DONT QUIT...

Pray in the Spirit and in the Name of Jesus...

Prayer is warfare..

Prayer is hard work....

I heard these statements this morning as I listened to a preaching on KDRY.com radio. Satan fears our prayers.. and he cant stop us from praying. We may have no exit in our situations but through our prayers God always makes a way.... nothing in hell below or heaven above can stop us. Thats the power of prayer!! Believing prayers are more powerful than others...lol, I think thats funny and awesome. A GNU or Wildebeast is known for fighting on its knees....and they fight for what they want until they get it. (Its usually for a female or self defense) In our case its for VICTORY!!!. What great example is this animal to us? God created it w/ this characteristic.. and how much more victory will we have if we do the same? FIGHT on YOUR knees...

I will continue to, and encourage you to do the same, FIGHT ON YOUR KNEES.. In this case, its for my daughter (and sons, husband, self, friends, family, pastor etc). I have to tell you that since I started this blog.. things have gotten so much better. She is being more responsible, more respectful, and more gentle with her ways.. I love the awesome Power in prayer... do you?

Victory-4-our daughters part 5

Hello fellow parents!!! Wow, raising a teenager is harder than I thought. Thank God for being our Support. If you didn’t know I love to read books! A Few years ago I came across “The Power of a Praying Wife” by Stormie Omartian, http://www.stormieomartian.com/ I love love love her! She teaches us how to pray for particular situations and different things specifically. As my journey began of being a mother of a “teenager daughter” I found another book she wrote, “The Power of a Praying Parent”. Can I say OMG!!?? Absolutely cannot put this book down. It is my guide besides my Guide (the Word). She touches subjects that I can’t seem to think of myself. So I will be sharing the readings and prayers she has put together to help all of us. Enjoy….

Chapter 28 (Power of a Praying Parent)
Breaking Down Ungodly Strongholds

Weapons of Warfare

Matthew 16:19, “I will give you the keys of the kingdom of heaven, and whatever you bind on earth will be bound in heaven, and whatever you loose on earth will be loosed in heaven.”

Matthew 10:26, “There is nothing covered that will not be revealed and hidden that will not be known.”

Proverbs 11:21, “Though they join forces, the wicked will not go unpunished; but the posterity of the righteous will be delivered.

Psalms 9:9, “The Lord will also be a refuge for the oppressed and a refuge in times of trouble.

So, here is what she teaches: (in my own words)

Trying to figure out what goes on in your child’s life is hard. Ever notice that your child has a guilty look on their face? Often wonder what the sneaky expression or behaviors are? We just can’t put our finger on it. That’s when we have to ask God to reveal to us, in prayer, what they are. Are there hidden sins? Are there ungodly acts? Maybe they are. Our kids aren’t perfect; they will do crazy things and make unwise decisions just like we did when we were younger. Maybe it’s lying, or stealing, or using profanity, or bullying. Whatever it is, we have a caring Father who will reveal to us what it is so we can bind them out in Jesus Name.

Ask God, is there anything in _______________(child name), that I should be seeing? He will help us to help them. There might not be suspicions now, but the bible says that “Be sober, be vigilant; because your adversary the devil walks about like a roaring lion, seeking whom he may devour (1 Peter 5:8). How much evidence is this? God tells us to watch out for satan because he lurks around our kids and wants to be part of their lives. May the Lord rebuke him in Jesus Name.!!!!!!! There is NO WAY, as long as I live, going to let him destroy my children. NO WAY.. will you do the same?

Here is the prayer:

Lord, Thank You that You have promised in Your Word to deliver us when we cry out to You. I come3 to You on behalf of (name your child) and ask that You would deliver him/her from any ungodliness that may be threatening to become a stronghold in his/her life. Even though I don’t know what he/she needs to be set free from, YOU DO. I pray in the name of Jesus that You will work deliverance in his/her life wherever it is needed. I know that although “we walk in the flesh, we do not war according to the flesh. For the weapons of our warfare are not carnal but mighty in God for pulling down strongholds, casting down arguments and every high thing that exalts itself against the knowledge of God” (2 Corinthians 10:3-5). Give me wisdom and revelation regarding him/her. I know there are areas of enemy operation which I cannot see, so I depend on You, Lord to reveal these to me as I need to know them. Speak to my heart. Show me how to pray when there is something deep in my spirit that is unsettled, disturbed, or troubled about him/her. Show me anything that I am not seeing, and let all that is hidden come to light. If there is any action I need to take, I depend on YOU to show me. Thank you that You help me parent my child/children. Lord, I put TANESHA, ANTHONY, & TJ in Your hands this day. Guide, protect, and convict him/her when sin is trying to take root. Strengthen him/her in battle when satan attempts to gain a foothold in his/her heart. Make him/her sensitive to enemy encroachment, and may he/she run to YOU to be his/her stronghold and refuge in times of trouble. May the cries of his/her heart be “Cleanse me from secret faults” Psalm 19:12. According to Your Word I say that the Lord will deliver him/her from every evil work and preserve him/her for HIS heavenly kingdom(2 Tim. 4:18) AMEN

Special Thanks to Stormie Omartian!!!!!!!!!!!!

Victory 4 our daughters Part 4

LEARNING TO LEAVE HER IN HIS HANDS...

1 PETER5:7 casting all your care upon Him, for He cares for you.

Wow, isnt that scripture easier said then done? As parents we worry about everything! Whether she will not serve Christ? Will her heart be broken? Will she be bullied? Abused? live in poverty? uneducated? use drugs? have low self-esteem? get into a car accident?.. to name a few........... This is because we want the best for our children. We want them to find prince charming, and have a huge ministry, etc.. Will she realize Who she is in Christ? Its our human nature, motherly mentality that gets us to live in fear of what may happen or not happen to her.

When we realize, as children of God, that He is in Control of EVERYTHING, that HE has the POWER to SAVE,DELIVER, & SET FREE... then we will NOT live in fear.. but we will be CONFIDENT that Christ will take care of it all! Praise God!!!

I've learned "the hard" way, to leave my children, my daughter in HIS HANDS. I was ignorant to all these true blessings and HIS LOVE not only for me, but for my girl..

When we release them into HIS HANDS, all the pressure and weight is taken off..AND how much peace wow, thats so amazing...

Isaiah 55:12
“For you shall go out in joy and be led forth in peace; the mountains and the hills before you shall break forth into singing, and all the trees of the field shall clap their hands.

this verse assures me that when I release her/them into His Hand... then they will go out peacefully, and as you can see.. Nature starts to worship Him..lol.. this is awesome!

REMEMBER!! IT DOESNT MATTER IF WE ARE PERFECT PARENTS... AS LONG AS WE ARE PRAYING ONES!!

Please let these small words of encouragement help you to be confident in leaving our girls.. in HIS HANDS..............amen
